"Small Heart Attack" – Single Cover Design
Yoni Bloch | 3:26 min
This cover was designed for “Small Heart Attack” (התקף לב קטן) by Yoni Bloch — a song about the quiet toll of emotional, political, and economic pressure that repeats across time.
At the center is a stitched anatomical heart, layered with imagery from protests, military scenes, and national crises — symbolizing how every headline, every siren, every moment of unrest leaves its mark. Not just once, but again and again.
The design reflects this loop: the muted palette, mirrored 3:26 timestamp, and minimalist typography echo the sense of exhaustion and survival.
It’s not one heart attack. It’s a thousand small ones.
Not just in one life — but across generations.
NEGRO SWAN
BLOOD ORANGE
Negro Swan was released in August 2018 and marked Blood Orange’s most personal work to date — a poetic exploration of identity, pain, and resilience.
In my interpretation, I depicted a polished, suited figure dissolving into a soft, foggy atmosphere — symbolizing how marginalized individuals often mask inner chaos with outward composure. The red bar over the eyes represents identity suppression and emotional disconnect, while the surrounding haze echoes themes of anxiety, queerness, and mental health that run throughout the album.
This reinterpretation captures the feeling of being present, yet fading — elegant, but emotionally blurred.
